Training Grades
Working abroad whilst in training
There can be many benefits from working abroad during training. These include
- Experience of clinical conditions and pathology rarely seen in the UK
- Developing clinical skills in situations where complex tests are not available
- Teaching and people development skills
- The opportunity to innovate
Not all placements offer the same. Those contemplating a placement abroad need to check what is available and that the placement benefits not just them but also the country they are visiting. Guidance offered to those organising placements can be found in the section on "Draft Criteria for the Kitemarking of Placements".
