Since the formation of the World Health Organisation in 1948 there has continuing movement towards a co-ordinated approach to addressing health problems across the world.
Key steps in this process include
- Health for All by the Year 2000 (WHO)
- Millenium Declaration and the Millenium Development Goals (UN)
International agreements influence national policies - national policies influence local policies.
