Mitigation and Adaptation

What we can do is essentially very simple. There are two parts to it - Mitigation and Adaptation.

Mitigation	Mitigation acts to prevent, reduce or slow climate change e.g. reducing carbon dioxide emissions and developing a low carbon economy (low carbon energy sources, energy efficiency, developing new technologies).
Adaptation	Mitigation acts to prevent, reduce or slow climate change e.g. reducing carbon dioxide emissions and developing a low carbon economy (low carbon energy sources, energy efficiency, developing new technologies).
