We know that the delivery of polio immunisation has been interrupted by beliefs that some Aid Agencies have a hidden agenda. The perceptions of armed groups can make the difference between agencies gaining access to areas to provide help or being rejected.
Based on research and interviews with members of the Taliban and Al-Shabaab, the Overseas Development Institute has produced a policy briefing on how these armed groups perceive aid agencies and the implications for humanitarian response in those areas.
